Impress; why is it not possible to highlight text? [closed]
I looked in the help, but cf. screenshot can't find in "Formatting" the "highlighting button". Can you?

As of Sept 28 2019, the following works and persists. Format > Character > Highlighting. LO Version: 5.1.6.2 Build ID: 1:5.1.6~rc2-0ubuntu1~xenial10
The highlighting colour button is found on the text formatting toolbar, as the help indicates. However, it can also be accessed through the format menu: Format > Character > Highlighting. It can also be found on the properties sidebar under Character.
The text appears as highlighted in the editor, but in the actual presentation (and in the PDF export) the highlighting is gone.
