Is there a way to paste bullets in Writer using plain text that has been copied? I mean without having a bullet exist first?

Insert > Special character ... Navigate to the bullet - there is a large one and a small one. Use it.

Paste the bullet into Tools > AutoCorrect options so that when you type something unique, like zzbul, it gets autocorrected to the bullet.

This macro does it - place it on the toolbar and click it. bullet.odt

Hi

What I understand: You copied text (no bullets) and you want bullets to be applied when pasting in Writer. If that's right, you just have to enable bullet for the current paragraph (where to paste): either by clicking on the toolbar or by applying a List style.

The bullets will be applied to all the paragraphs created by pasting.
