How can I create a default template for Calc?

why calc can’t save user-defined format, when we add some format to cell, it always gone when i open new workbook or new calc document.

Please, what is your Operating System and LibreOffice version?
Do you use the native format .ods to save?

Why can’t one set up a document with ones letterhead and all other details complete with all the text manipulations and set that as your document with the click of one button? It is, at present, a lengthy process, and still doesn’t work satisfactorily? [Having said all that - I really love Libra Office]

Calc saves all user-defined formats in the actual file NOT in the program. You can define all your formats and save the workbook as a template .ots. Next time you need a new document, open the template, modify it and use save as for saving it as an .ods file.
