Downloaded LibreOffice on mac os x sierra latest version and tried opening Base, however LibreOffice is not responding at the Save new database stage and crashses. Any help?

Ciao, did you first have an older version of LO? Try erasing the user profile to LO: [Tutorial] User profile
If it still does not work, install a less recent version of LO (after deleting the user profile).
