1-3 being turned into a date in calc

Calc’s turning my 1-3 into 01/03/2023, and I don’t even know how to revert this option. My friend’s don’t have this, yet I do? Please fix… I am going to fail my math class if I don’t succeed in fixing this and do 50 assignments, which all will most likely require calc. I am not joking.

Enter as text.
3 Options:

1. ’1-3 The leading apostrophe won’t be part of the value. It’s a flag to inhibit any interpretation.
2. Format the cell as text (number format code @) before entering the text.
3. Formula =“1-3”

What do you want to enter:
To enter the formula:
Precede the data with an equal sign =1-3 (standard to introduce formulas)
Precede the data with a plus/minus sign +1-3

To enter it as text:
Precede the data with a single quote '1-3

Otherwise, it will be treated with the date patterns in Menu/Tools/Options/Language settings – Date acceptance pattern. You can delete the pattern, it will be entered as text.
