- Clicking any of the “Places” to save a file, the bottom “Place” (Addresses) gets highlighted and the following message appears:
Error saving the document XXX :/Users/robglass/Documents/Addresses does not exist.
How to save files ? I have successfully saved files for many years, but now I can’t.
As you didn’t tell your OS, check things like “full disk access” on Mac, settings of you (unknows) security sytem an if your Container (snap/flatpack/appi.age) is allowed to see your file-system.
@Wanderer,
Sequoia 15.5
NoScript 13.0.8
LibreOffice 25.2.3.2
Full Disk Access to:
FireFox 5, GoogleUpdater, LibreOffice, WebRoot SecureAnywhere
I do not know that I have “Container” operating.
Selecting a Place to save a document, the system consistently defaults to a different Place and informs me:
Error saving the document XXX :/Users/robglass/Documents/Addresses does not exist.
How to save a document to a specified folder ?
That is the first of two problems.
The other is a particular file which I use daily but seems to jump around when saved.
I can find it with Finder which shows its folder path:
robglass/Library/Cloud Storage/Dropbox/myMac/Documents/Investing/Accumulated Positions.
How to save this particular Accumulated Positions file without a lengthy path and also easily retrieved ?
Thanks !
Rob Glass
