On presentation I am trying to paste pictures on but whenever I do it just comes up with a black box. How do I fix it.
Version 4.0 is rather old and many bugs have been fixed in the meantime. Please try version 4.2.
If you need to work with that old version, first save the picture to disk and then insert it via Insert > Picture.
