7.2.2.2 hanging when opening new document OSX 10.15.7

I have recently installed Libre Office 7.2.2.2. It seems to hang (spinning wheel of death) when I create a new document. I’m on OSX 10.15.7 (Catalina). As suggested elsewhere, I’ve given the application “Full Disk Access” in Security and Privacy. It hasn’t made a difference. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

I have the same issue
Version: 7.2.3.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d166454616c1632304285822f9c83ce2e660fd92
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.0.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx
Locale: en-US (en.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

It seems to happen intermittently. How about you?

Yes, I have to keep force quitting, restarting and recovering several times in a row sometimes to continue to use LibreOffice. I was hoping that this issue would have been solved by now as it almost makes LibreOffice unusable. However, I haven’t found a solution that works yet.

Me neither.

It might be a permissions issue, see LibreOffice 6.3.6 and 6.4.3 both fail to launch in macOS Catalina 10.15.4

That doesn’t fix the issue for me. Thank you for the information.
