A vertical line with a black triangle abutting, follows my cursor all over every empty line when I have "Show Changes" turned on. How do I get rid of it?

Strange cursor. Does anyone know how this happened and how I can change it? The original cursor is here (capital I) but what is the other part? It looks like a mini flag. Here is an image: [C:\fakepath\Cursor.JPG] Thanks!
