Access password-protected document

I forgot a document’s password but need to open it. I read something about using an xml copy editor to do disable a doc’s protection. Can anyone provide steps to do this using this editor or any other method? I’m good at following directions but not very technical. Thanks in advance.

That’s next to impossible.

For an unknown reason, a similar question has been removed from this site but is accessible in archive.

@Lupp has posted a macro which could help but don’t count too much on it. LO password protection is a really good one.
