Add way to continue from currently shown slide when exiting presentation mode

I am working with libreoffice impress. If I am editing the third slide and I press Shift+F5 to start presenting from that slide, and then proceed with the presentation up to, say, slide 10, I want to be able to exit the presentation in a way that makes the current editable slide to be slide 10, i.e. the one I stopped the presentation at.

Currently, if I press ESC on libreoffice to exit presentation mode at any point, it simply puts me back at the last slide I was editing before starting the presentation, i.e. slide 3.

Is there a way to achieve the effect I want?

My system behaves as you want it to. Proceed through presentation and exit with esc on slide X and I am left editing slide X.

would need a macro to sync both controllers …
