Adding certain styles to text from menu not working anymore

Hej community,

I use LibreOffice 7.2.1.2 on Ubuntu 20.04. Since the last update I noticed some problems. In Writer I am not able to add certain styles anymore. I noticed this issue with highlighting text, adding a style like heading, changing font or font size from the menu shown below:

Does any of you have a suggestion what I could try to fix this (if I even can), or if this problem is already know?

Format → Character → Highlighting i.e. is a workaround, but a quiet long one…

Todays update to the ubuntu package solved this issue for me. Full version Info:
