In previous version I could right click on a word with red underline and get a possibility to change or add the word not correctly spelled. Now that is gone and I have to spell check the whole document to get it correct. This takes very long time, morem than 5 minutes compared to about 5 seconds with the right click.

Yes it is active. else I don’t get any red underlinies.

There are several settings that tell LibO about your spelling choices, have they all been set? They include:
TOOLS > AUTOMATIC SPELL CHECKING. Then TOOLS > OPTIONS > LANGUAGE SETTINGS > DEFAULT LANGUAGE. And in the TOOLS > OPTIONS > WRITING AIDS > CHECK SPELLING AS YOU TYPE. Have any of these settings changed? I agree, you don’t want to check the whole document just to check one word. I hope this helps. If there is an actual bug you have found we would need to know version, language, operating system etc. Peter

SOLVED! I downloaded Apache OpenOffice version 4.1.1 and that works and is MUCH faster!

I have been looking in to all kinds of settings without finding anything about the righ clicking. Automatic spell checking is of course on else I shopuld not get the red underlining I suppose.

My version is:
Version: 4.2.7.2
Build ID: 933c0aa564ec4f8883ed5732c866db48dca4dac5
I use Swedish and Windows 8.1.

I have nopt yet upgraded my Windows 7 machine as right clicking still works there.

I have now made a more extensive comparison with the 4.1 version on my Windows 7 machine and the 4.2 version on my Windows 8.1 machine.
When I right click in the new version (4.2) it doesn´t matter where I right click I get the same choises (a subset of “Format” and “Edit” menues). When I right click in the old version (4.1) it is similar to version 4.2 if I click on a correct word but when I click on a word with a red underlining (potential misspelling) it differs as I get the spelling choises
