All checkboxes are stuck in "form blue" appearance

When creating a new Writer document, all checkboxes are stuck in “form blue” appearance, and are non-printable. How do I get back the typeface’s version of the checkbox? I am not in form design mode, that’s already unchecked.

Please edit your question to improve it. What do you mean by “form blue” appearance? by typeface’s version of the checkbox? Have you designed a form with checkboxes or do you want checkboxes in an ordinary focument (glyph from the Unicode Dingbats block).
Ideally, attach a sample document.
While you’re editing your question, mmention OS name, LO version and save format.
Don’t use an additional comment, but take care to edit your question so that all relevant information is in single location. Thanks.

Thanks, I added the version info.

I’m not sure how to simplify the phrases “form blue appearance" or “typeface’s version of the checkbox.” I’m seeing a form checkbox, rather than a typeface checkbox; even though I’m not designing a forum.

In this case, attach your file or an anonymised version of it.
