All print jobs held in queue

All Writer print jobs queued from LibreOffice stall in the print queue in a Held state and eventually are aborted.

Releasing the job causes it to immediately abort.

The odd thing is that no other application is having any problem printing. I can print a test page, I can print from a web browser. The problem seems to be isolated to LibreOffice.

Printer: Canon MX700 network printer

Make and Model: Canon PIXMA MX700 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.10 Simplified
Printer State: Idle - Ready to print.

LibreOfficeInfo:

Version: 4.4.5.2
Build ID: 4.4.5.2-8.fc22
Locale: en_US.utf8

CUPS info: V2.0.3

With continued testing I’ve discovered that the problem reproduces with the command line lpr command with a simple text file.

…in that case the issue is within your computer system rather than to do with LO.

I’ve run into similar issues on my Linux system. The “fix” was always to clear the print queue and then, for me, access the print server (CUPS) to ensure the printer is “IDLE”. Then printing seems to work.

Same problem, even although printer is ‘idle’. Problem only occurs, as far as I can tell, with LO and command line lpr.
