Alt find and replace extension not working with macro

I have installed Alt find and replace extension . I am replacing \p with whitespace . This operation is completed successfully but I am unable to record this action in macro .
How to do it ?

AFAIK Alternate-Find-Replace has its own Option to create batch-records??

AlternateFind&Replace (annotated)

Can you please tell the procedure to create the key shortcut when I click on the Batch button . After creating the shortcut I am not able to use it and its saying that “Scripting Framework error occurred … The basic script could not be found …” .

I don’t know the answer to that. I tried assigning a keyboard shortcut myself some time ago but always got errors of the type you are indicating – I never managed to solve how to fix that and in the end decided that life was too short to keep on trying. Consequently I just use the ‘Batch >>’ route and start the find/replace manually – it only takes a few seconds to do that so I’m not really aggrieved that I can’t get the keyboard shortcut to work.

Maybe someone that does know will come along and explain but I have my doubts; I could find nothing on the internet about this.

Any alternative word software which can be installed in Linux os and which has this kind of flexibility for creating , recording macros . I am even willing to buy the paid version of software .
