Yes you can choose the colour and replace the default.
On my Linux system TOOLS > OPTIONS > LIBREOFFICE > APPLICATION COLOURS > AUTOSPELLCHECK. Currently set to AUTOMATIC. You can choose your own colour.
Reset then choose AUTOMATIC if you do not like your choice and wish to return to the default…Peter
