Anyway to disable ants when copy/cut from a cell in Calc spreadsheet

When I’m in a LibreOffice Spreadsheet (90% of the time), when I’m coping/moving the cells around, I get a dancing line/ant animated on last cell I copied/cut from.

It’s VERY annoying/distracting, and I’d like the option to turn it off, is there a way to do this?

It took a LONG time online trying find out there called ants, and the only temporary solution is to hit the ‘Esc’ key EVERYTIME, but again that is a temporary solution.

I know some people like it, but I’d like a simple option to disable it if i want to.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,

afaik there no way to disable the indicator of the last selected range after having performed a copy or cut operation. You need to finalize the operation and either

  • Press ESC --or-
  • Double click any other cell --or-
  • Click into the formula bar
