Autolink creation not working (auto-conversion of pasted URLs into clickable links)

In LibreOffice Writer, whenever I pasted a link and hit enter or space after it, it used to auto-convert the link into a clickable URL. It doesn’t anymore, as of a couple months ago. What happened? Is there a setting I messed up? I’d like that feature back.

OS: Linux Ubuntu 18.04
Version: 7.2.2.2
Build https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/gitweb?p=core.git;a=log;h=1eb16ced50a80b7125fabf09652dbb09393766d2

Click in Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options and click on the Options tab. Tick both boxes for URL recognition. Cheers, Al

Thanks. It looks like this makes it work so that when I paste a link and press Enter it auto-converts it into a clickable URL, but when I press Space after it it does not. It used to also have that behavior simply using Space after pasting. Is this just a deprecated feature now?

If your pasted link has a space at the end, such as might occur when copying from the body of a web page, email or a document, then pressing space won’t work unless you move the cursor to directly at the end of the link address.

In my copy of 7.2.2.2 pressing the Spacebar after an internet address creates the link as well as Enter.

Some addresses might need modifying before they work, e.g. bugs.documentfoundation.org needs to be written as https://bugs.documentfoundation.org before it can be recognised.
