Hi everyone, I’m new here so forgive me if this question is off-topic here. So, i realised that libreoffice Writer lacks of this important feature, that when you write either (1-) or (1.) and continue writing, Writer doesn’t recognize it as the start of a numbered list, but as a normal character, so I’ve to select everytime manually from the menu (instead of Microsoft Word that recognizes automatically). So I’d like to request to implement this little feature, that I’m sure will help everyone!
Thanks and have a nice day everyone!
LibreOffice has this feature too, but it is disabled as default, because most people do not like it. Goto menu Tools > AutoCorrect… > AutoCorrect Options. In tab Options check the option Bulleted and numbered lists. Bullet symbol:*
.
And here a different, but similar easy way to get a numbered list: Do not write 1. at all. First click on the Numbering button (which will generate 1.
as default) or select a special type of numbering from its drop-down list. Then write your list item. When you press Enter, you will get 2.
for your next list item. When you do not enter text, but press Enter immediately, you finish the list.
