Automatically Inserted Pages

When requiring that a page would be formatted as a right page only (odd numbered page), and the previous page is also right-page-only, LibreOffice automatically inserts a blank page between them when exporting the document. That is what I want it to do, but I haven’t found a way to have those inserted blank pages include a header and/or footer, or at least a page number. Is there a way to do that?

Did you use the default Right Page style to create the pages? If so, the blank page between right pages should have the Left Page style applied. Just edit the Left Page style to your needs.

May be what you may need is to activate book view
Use the third View Layout icon in the status bar

I use a custom page style for the first page of every chapter, and it uses the “Only right” page-layout setting. The other pages use the “Mirrored” page-layout setting. So if the last page of any chapter turns out to be a right page, then a blank page is automatically inserted before the first page of the next chapter.

No, I’m speaking about how the document appears in printed form when exported to pdf.

Can you upload a sample file that shows the issue?
