So there is a weekly meeting I’m a part of, and I’m in charge of adjusting slides from week to week. I say adjust because most of the slides are always the same, except for changing some simple text on about 25 slides.
We have a few slides that need numbers changed, name plates or a collection of names, sometimes it’s one name, sometimes it’s four names on a single slide and most of it is pretty simple and monotonous work.
So my question is…because I’m getting into software development, automating the changes to these slides would be a good project to work on as it would save a lot of time. The idea I have is I would just put the text I need into a text field and I would just press a button and slides would update. No messing around with formatting, adjusting text position, changing text boldness, selecting the right font, text color, etc. So would this be best done in a macro command? Make an extension? And can it be made so a normal, non-developer, person can use it as well? Just looking into things right now, so I can decide on the best course of action.
