Averages Not Matching up from 1 Sheet to the other

Driving me nuts !

I do Rideshare. I have 1 Sheet I made showing each Trip, the Miles, time and gas spent.
Example is the “October Trips” Sheet.
I put the numbers in from each trip.
Then I total them and put that total in the “October Daily Totals” Sheet.

I scroll down in the “October Trips Sheet” from G3 to G10 it shows me the Total and I enter that in the “October Daily Totals” Sheet.

I do the same for H3 through 10 for H I J K L M

I Scroll look on the bottom for the Sheet for the “Totals” add that into the “October Daily Totals” Column on the “October Daily Totals” Columns.

Here is the problem …

On the “October Trips” Sheet if I select O3 through O10 it shows me an average on the bottom of 27.87
On the “October Daily Totals” Sheet I have a formula for calculating them totals to give me an average for “Hourly Pay” for the day.
That Totals shows 28.11…

Why is it giving me a different result as an “Average”?

It’s doing the same thing for the “Dollar Per Mile” Average and I can’t figure it out for nothing !

An average of averages?

{2over1+2over2} over 2 = {2over1+1over1} over 2 = {{2+1}over1} over 2 = {3over1} over 2 = 3 over 2 ~~<> ~~{2+2} over {1+2} = 4 over 3

Is that what’s happening?
I’m not sure.
Maybe I should just delete the Formula from the W3 in the “Daily Totals” and use the “Average” I get from “Daily Totals” and just use the Total I get from O3 to O10 in October Trips" and put that average in that cell…

I see what you mean !
I forgot about that and did the same thing a while ago.
Tryin to “Average the Averages”
Actually the Sheets are correct, and Averaging O3 to O10 & P3 to P10 on the "Trips Sheet would be wrong.
That’s an “Average of the Averages”.

Also I had to fix V W X Y 29 Also on the Daily Totals Sheet
That was wrong I was averaging the averages from the columns Instead of the total from the last row

THANK YOU !
