Hi. I have been using LOCalc for several years, and over that time I have made numerous changes to toolbar layouts. Is there a way I can backup some sort of ‘profile’ file so that if I ever had to do a complete clean install, I would not lose these changes ? Which file(s) should I backup and how would I re-integrate them into a clean install ?
My main PC is Windows 10 64bit.
The most useful though concise information concerning the user profile I know is this wiki page.
To make sure your backed-up user profile or parts of it are correctly interpreted and regarded you need to make the “clean install” with the same version the backup was created with. After restoring your toolbars, templates, macros, … an update install will adapt the inherited settings to new internals if any.
Since there may also be registration information inside the first-level subfolders you should restore such a folder completely or not at all. You cannot copy-in selected BASIC modules e.g. If not correctly registered in the script.xlb they won’t work.
