Base crashes every time I get to ‘Finish’ when attempting to create a report. Wizard goes to ‘Not Responding’. Also crashes when trying to run a report that already exists. LO version 24.8.4.2, OS Windows 11. Tried running in safe mode, still crashes. Tried running with hardware acceleration disabled, still crashes. Uninstalled and reinstalled LO, no change. It was working yesterday. The only change I am aware of is a BIOS update - HP desktop. LO has crashed several times daily over the past two weeks at random (apparently) times, but this solid failure on running report is a game changer. Any ideas?
For creating reports with Report Builder you need much luck. I will save every step I have done in ReportBuilder and in Base file.
But: Executing a report seems to be stable here. So: Have a look at the java runtime you installed. ReportBuilder is one of the last components, which needs Java, if you don’t use internal HSQLDB.
