I create a Dynamic Report based on a query. It runs OK. If I update the query and run the report, the original query values are in the new report. I have to create a new report every time. Where can I look for a fix.

Which report engine do you use? There are 2 engines. Some Linux distributions do not install Report Builder for default. Load up a screenshot of report editing.
OK, it’s the Report Builder. Now go to View → Report Navigator and click in the opened Dialog on Report. In the Properties have a look at the Folder Data. Show a screenshot for “Data”.
Test Data → Content, if it will change in the query. Then Execute Report by the icon in the toolbar. Report should show the same data as query of data source.
Note: Only a dynamic report will be saved in the database file. Your screenshot shows such a dynamic report. Static reports will only be executed and the report definition won’t be shown any more in the database file.
