Good Afternoon,
When i select some text inside the Basic IDE, and i click inside the current selection, then nothing happens but the current selection stays selected.
Instead i would expect the current selection to be ‘collapsed’, and the normal text caret to appear at the clicked position.
But in order to collapse the current selection without destroying its contents, i need to click somewhere outside of the current selection, or to use another method such as pressing one of the keyboard arrow keys. For large selections that cover the whole window, this requires actively scrolling up or down the window to find a place outside of the selection, then to click there, and then to scroll back and click on the place where i wanted my caret to appear all along.
This behaviour was not encountered in my older versions of LibreOffice on Ubuntu, but i believe it was introduced one or two updates before my current version 5.3.1.2.
Has anyone else has experienced this? If so, then please confirm it in a comment here below.
Thanks in advance, lib.
