Block Microsoft from LibreOffice Takeover

I downloaded LibreOffice recently and made it my default. This morning I discovered that everything on my desktop was Microsoft Word and when I went to read a document - I was confronted with either signing in with my Microsoft account or creating one in order to sign in. When I refused those options - my document was shut down! Can anyone please help me with this???

Throw out that Microsoft trash, install a free operating system like Linux or BSD and enjoy.

Actually, your question has nothing to do with LibreOffice, it is about your OS. Ask in a relevant forum.
