Bullet points break when pasted to Pillowfort

is there a way to paste a really long essay from LibreOffice Writer to Pillowfort without having to manually redo the gazillion bullet points it’s mostly composed of?
Pillowfort puts a notable gap above and below each bullet point after the draft is saved and it’s really botherin’ me
they also end up functionally broken the moment i try to fix them by pressing delete to bring a lower bullet point into an upper one and press enter to separate them again

below are screenshots showing (from left to right or top to bottom) what they look like in LibreOffice, after pasting to Pillowfort, after saving the draft, and after attempting to manually fix a bullet point using the above method

just in case it’s important: the non-Header/Title text is all(?) Default Paragraph Style and almost entirely Comic Sans MS font

Tests:

  1. pasting into a cryptpad Rich Text doc and copying from there led to the same result
  2. ctrl+v didn’t work in Google Docs so i gave up :man_shrugging:t6:

semi-solution: Preformatted Text method (see my reply)
pre-edit: Had to remove two uploaded images since “new user” :man_shrugging:t6:

Questioning more than especially…

  • Is it possible to insert HTML source code into your beloved Pillowfort?
  • Have you ckecked other (free) editors for inserting text into Pillowfort?
  • Have you asked in the right forum for your question (has Pillowfort no FAQ published which deal with your question)?
  • How could one test a method to insert text into Pillowfort without being member there?

Waiting for answers and explanations… :smirk:

A bit of guesswork:
Your copy/paste seems to keep the list and levels correctly, but not the styling of lists.
.
On modern html this my be fixed by some user defined css, but I have no clue, if this is possible for your destinaton.

Grantler,
not sure if you’re bein’ rude or just comin’ off that way, but i don’t care for it and would rather not engage tbh

Wanderer,
pretty~ sure CSS isn’t an option for users of Pillowfort
