I would like to automate the insertion of HTML files into separate tabs of a Calc spreadsheet. Where do I start?

'm would like to automate the “Insert Sheet from File” option in Calc and have it insert each file in a different tab. There are so many development tools for LibreOffice: Python, C++ , Basic, OLE, CLI.

If I was doing it in Excel, I would use VBA ( if that still exists). What would be the easiest way to do this.
