What is “usual” for you?

Are they numbers, or are they actually text looking like numbers? What is displayed as sum in the status bar when you select one of them?

It? What you actually do to add them up? E.g., select them and look at the status bar? Or create a formula somewhere? how? using a AutoSum toolbar button? using something like =A1+A2+...? using a function, like =SUM(A1:A10)? And what specifically goes wrong? do you have an error as a result? which? or do you have wrong result? then how wrong? is it totally wrong, giving you 0 or 10 where it should be -55? or does it differ from your expectation in, say, last significant digit? then do you use rounding of your numbers when displaying them? … Finally, give us a sample spreadsheet document to see!

Try resetting profile.
Thanks. They were not actual numbers but would reformat to currency. They were supposed to be 220 or 110 (for example) but were '220 or '110. I formatted to currency but that didn’t change them but manually re-entering did. It now adds the total. I downloaded the latest version of LO and it will now save pdfs again. : )
