Calc, Clone Formatting button keeps greying out

As the title - my clone formatting button seems to have taken on a mind of it’s own. It flips from being greyed out to not in a seemingly random fashion. It didn’t use to do this and an older version (7.5.9.2) I use in Windows doesn’t seem to suffer this issue. Anyone else experiencing this?

Version: 7.6.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community / Linux 6.7

Try in Safe Mode.

Apologies for the slow response, but same thing in Safe Mode. Further investigation revealed that if I save the document then the clone format becomes active again, but then will grey out again when I make an edit / addition - seemingly on a random basis.

Hi, I can also reproduce this. Are you (like me) using standard toolbar UI in single mode? If so there is a bug reported for this here: 157796 – Clone Formatting gets disabled in Single Toolbar UI

Yes, single toolbar UI, although I haven’t had the issue for a while now. It seemed to occur on some spreadsheets and not others.

when the copy format button is greyed out, right click on any cell and hit “clone formatting”, then the button should become enabled, and stay enabled.
