Calc- Comment issue from prior question on location -

Unable to post an image (actual snapshot of the issue) - here goes my problem.

I posted a question anonymously, so by logging in I tried to add an image of my problem, and did not have enough karma (over 60, never get there).

Problem:

I select cell b5, right click insert comment:

1. little red dot appears as it should in the upper right corner of cell b5.
2. Problem is the comment box and cell pointer is 9 cells lower.
   a. the pointer is referencing cell b14 with the comment box there and
3. Not at cell b5 where it belongs.
4. This happens no matter what cell I select, the comment and pointer is always 9 cells lower.

My question is how do I refresh the spreadsheet (or whatever I have to do) to get the comment function working right again.

Note:

Currently this spread sheet is approaching 1200 rows and over 12 worksheets, so don’t tell me to “start over” PLEASE.

And it is running v3.5 (not 3.51 yet).

Working around… right-click on the cell and select show comment. So you’ll can work in the box like an object.

I’m unable to reproduce the issue you’re experiencing, but having the comment arrow offset by 9 rows sounds like a bug (or a “feature” that we should know more about!..)

In any case, please file a bug about this problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!
