When there is already conditional formatting, and I click on the conditional formatting ‘condition’ tool, I am always presented with a dialog that asks

"The selected cell already contains conditional formatting. You can either edit the existing conditional format or you define a new overlapping conditional format.
Do you want to edit the existing conditional format?"

If I say ‘yes’ it enters the formatting dialog. If I say ‘no’, it just exits. This dialog box is therefore 100% useless, since I can just cancel in the formatting dialog. So:

  1. That’s a bug, maybe fix it some day.
  2. How do I disable it asking me that question, and just open the formatting dialog that I am trying to get to?

Thanks.

What your are looking for is: Format -> Conditional -> Manage, which allows to modify existing conditional formatting, while in fact edit the existing conditional format means create a new conditional formatting (an which may cause precedence problems with existing rules)
