Calc Context Menu Alignment Issues

Hello,

When using LibreOffice Calc, the context menu’s appear on the right side of the screen, rather then under the mouse (for right click), or the hamburger menu when expanding.

Other LibreOffice apps don’t seem to have this issue (writer, impress).

  • Version: 24.2.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
  • Build ID: 420(Build:2)
  • CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+wayland)
  • Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
  • Calc: threaded
  • OpenSuse Tumbleweed with KDE Plasma 6.0.4

(Unable to post a second photo showing that this also happens when right clicking.)

To follow-up, this appears to be resolved. I’m not sure what was fixed as I’m still on kf5, but some update in tumbleweed seemed to resolve the context menu location issue with Calc.

regression ?
tried with kf6 ?

libreoffice-kf6 is not yet available on OpenSUSE tumbleweed, it looks like it’s being actively worked on (linked below).

Do you think that’s the issue here?

https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1221116

dunno.
but more than actively for sure tdf#102495

just wondering what you could try to contrast in order to at least get a workaround.
e.g.
export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen

That resolved the context menu location issue, but of course now the theme is quite different. It seems like the VCL is the culprit here, so I probably just need to wait for kf6 support.

Thanks for the help.
