Calc - find and replace all 'search key not found'

I have a column of varying dates throughout the month for each month in the calendar year (see attached example). I’m trying to update the sheet for the current year, replacing 2019- with 2020- so that I don’t have to manually change the year in each cell. LibreOffice - Dates.jpg

When I try to perform the ‘find/replace all’ I get ‘search key not found’. When I try just ‘find’ or ‘find/replace’ nothing is found.

How do I get the find/replace all to work?

Thanks.

Edited to provide sample .ods as requested: Monthly Processing_Sample Attachment.ods

Supply a small .ods showing the issue and allowing for actual analysis (containing a screencopy image of the F&R dialog, too). How dates look in ISO 8601 extended we know anyway. The image doesn’t tell anything about the relevant properties of your cells nor about the way you tried tu use F&R.

The new-sheet-for-new-year-design is questionable (better deprecated) anyway. But if you insist on it, you need to place the year’s number in exactly one cell to which you refer in every case you want to show a date being in “this year”. For a few dates needed within “previoius year” or “next year” you may substract or add 1 then in the respective formulas.

The replacement of year numbers with the help of F&R is also feasible. I will edit the answer (or someone else willl give one) in a suitable way as soon as you tell what you actually tried.

Thank you for your replies.

As requested, I edited my original post to attach a sample of the sheet I’m working with.

The purpose of the spreadsheet is to track my clients’ monthly bank statement reconciliations to make it more efficient than having to check each account in the bookkeeping program to pick up where I last reconciled. I find it’s easier to check this sheet and then login to get the next available bank statements, and also to check which ones I last reconciled.

As stated in my original post, ‘what I actually tried’ is to perform ‘find/replace all’ where all I got was ‘search key not found’. I then tried just ‘find’ or ‘find/replace’ but nothing is found. Not being sure what else I could try, I made my original post here to get help.

This is a pared down sample. There are many more accounts on the actual sheet I’m using.

Any help would be appreciated.

The replacement of the 4-digit-years in ISO 8601 dates (column D) works for me in LibO versions 5.5 and 6.4 I tested with.
There is an issue with your file, however. Opening it with a recent version of LibO I get the message:
This document was last saved by an application other than LibreOffice. Some formula cells may produce different results when recalculated…
Therefore I also opened it with AOO 4.1.5 and got first a crash, and later a sheet showing the year 2015 in every place where I had to expect 2019 and in addition an offset of one day.
I have to assume therefore an unresolved corruption of the file concerning the base-date setting for spreadsheet.
Please always give all the information that may be relevant concerning your issue. I wouldn’t waste time working on a file corrupted by unknown and unmentioned events…

Hi Lupp,

Thank you for your comments and attempts to figure this out.

I realize now my error. I mistakenly opened the file in OpenOffice Calc instead of LibreOffice.

As a result of your comments steering me in the right direction, I opened my file in LibreOffice and the find and replace worked just as it should.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to look at this and let me know.
