Calc find function won't look for number with dot separator

I’ve a spreadsheet with home budget data, and I enter the values with two decimal places, separated by dot.
In the past it was possible to do control-F and type lets say 12.96 into search box and Calc would find the data for me.
The recent version 6.1.5.2 won’t do that anymore and would not find the cells if I ask it to look for number with dot separator. Is there any setting I missed ?
No regular expressions ticked.
It is quite annoying bug as I was using search this quite often.

Thanks.

Make sure the cell value is actually 12.96 and not just displayed as such (i.e. could be 12.959 displayed with 0.00 format and thus rounded). If in doubt, to search for displayed values tick the Formatted Display checkbox in the Find bar.

Hi.
Thank you for the answer. The value was hand typed so it was with only two decimal places.
However, the checkbox Formatted Display did the trick and I’m able to find what I’m looking for.
However, there must have been a change in default behaviour as it wasn’t necessary to do in the past and the spreadsheet is over 10 years old, and I’m certain it worked two years ago (with whatever version was current at the time)
Once again thank you for your input.

Might be related to that in older releases the Find bar inherited some settings and search behaviour from the Find&Replace dialog, which was rather obscure and not transparent to the user, so there may be some differences in the current behaviour depending on what settings were active in your old F&R dialog.

And please don’t enter comments as answers, which they are not, use add comment instead. Thanks.
