I’m trying to embed a logo in the header of an xls spreadsheet. The image displays fine immediately upon inserting, but if I close and reopen the document the image is gone. Tried:
- linking instead of embedding;
- jpg instead of transparent png;
Same behavior.
Everything works as expected if I save in ods instead of xls.
Is there a way to make it work in xls? Thought I’d ask here before reporting it as a bug.

Addendum: header and footer margins get reset to default value (0.9 centimeters) each time I close and reopen the document. Looks like there’s a broader issue regarding header and footer support in MS files.
