How can I improve the border visibility of selected cells in LO Calc?
In LO 7.3 the cells borders are light blue.
In LO 7.2 the cell borders are black.

Those are the buttons to set border, style, and color for selected cells.
If you mean changing selection around the cell, try: Tools/Options menu, and go to the Calc specific settings, and somewhere there, if it’s even possible. (in 7.0.6.2 that I have, there’s no option for changing that.)
On macOS this would be under Preferences, but I can’t find the setting there that would change the colour. (LibreOffice Calc > View: Visual Aids looks promising but doesn’t bring about the desired change.)
