Calculations not displaying - Cells are blank

Hey!
I am trying to troubleshoot an issue one of our users is experiencing on LibreOffice version 7.0.3.1 on Windows 11.

When he enters a formula into a cell, the cell does not display the calculation result, the cell is blank (and the sum of the calculation is not zero).

I’ve tried finding anyone else with this issue, but the closest I found involved turning off OpenGL, which does not seem to be in the Preferences on our version.

I’ve attached an ods version even though the original is a csv (won’t let me upload a csv to this forum), and a snapshot of what the user is seeing on his side.
Has anyone run into this or know how to fix this?

@kalikins, it looks like columns D and E are formatted as text, not numeric (they are left-aligned).

I don’t see a blank cell in E2, but either a #VALUE! error or a locale dependent result depending on how the Detailed Calculation Settings are set up under Tools → Options → Calc → Formula, safest is to set that Custom Conversion from text to number to Generate #VALUE! error to see where it possibly goes wrong. If you import text/CSV and want $9.64 to be imported as numeric value then in the import dialog select an import locale that uses the $ currency symbol and . dot decimal separator like English (USA) and enable Detect special numbers.
See Text Import .

This was the solution! Checking the ‘Detect Special Characters’ checkbox upon importing the csv in did the trick.

Thank you!
