When creating a pivot table with data fields in columns, the columns have to be really wide to fit their titles e.g. “Average - SigmaX”. On columns in my big pivot table, all I see is “Avera>” (the rest is cut off). I can rename the columns, but my customization is lost next time the pivot table is refreshed or its layout changed.
Is there a way to change how these names are generated by default? I would prefer first name of the original column and then function abbreviation e.g. “SigmaX Avg”.
