I have several Quattro Pro files that I would like to convert to Microsoft xlsx or other current spreadsheet format. Can I do this with LibreOffice?
I think you can, wq1 and wq2 are on the list of type files for open.
In any case LibreOffice it’s easy to install for test. Using LIbreOffice it’s better use the native ODF file format, and use alien formats for share when needed.
Yes, normally LibreOffice can retrieve the basic content of wb1 and wb2 files ; i.e. the cell’s text, number and the formula and some basic styles: mostly the font’s bold/italic/underline attributes with the font’s size.
Just for note:
- wq1 and wq2 are another formats(QuattroPro Dos file) that LibreOffice can also open since 5.0.
- LibreOffice 6.1 can now open some wb3 files,
- LibreOffice 6.2 may be able to open some qpw … files.
