Can I define more than one print range on a sheet?

Calc gives me the impression I can define print ranges - i.e. multiple. But I can only ever seem to define one.

I have a long spreadsheet with three sections, top, middle, bottom, each handling different things and I define a print range for each when I want to print it.

I’d like to have the three already defined.

And then each print range is further defined for printout and I wonder if I can keep those further definitions - for magnification, margins, etc ?

Or should I work differently and put each of those ranges on a different sheet and learn to switch between sheets (a thing I’ve never done, never do) ?

You should define the print area beforehand by selecting it.

To set the print area use the menu Format>Print Ranges>Define.

All other print areas with the menu Format>Print Ranges>Add.

Well that is what I thought I’d already tried. So after reading your post I went back and tried it again.

And yes, no result. After clicking ‘add’ nothing at all happens. Same as after clicking ‘define’ except in that certainly enables just that selection to print.

Try the Safe Mode. If it works with it, you should reset your user profile to factory settings.

Back up the existing user profile before doing so.
