In folder /4/user/ I have multiple files of the format "registrymodifications.1507.xcu, and other sequential numbers. Is this normal? Are they required? Can I delete these, leaving of course “registrymodifications.xcu”?
For me there is only one file there: registrymodifications.xcu
Version: 7.5.0.3 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: c21113d003cd3efa8c53188764377a8272d9d6de
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE
Calc: CL threaded
I have 47 numbered from 495 to 1512. Their sizes are all consistent with the size of registrymodifications.xcu which is the most recent file. I wonder if they are backup copies which should have been automatically deleted. Anyone know for sure if they are backups? And why they aren’t deleted, if so?
It isn’t normal. Maybe LO cannot write to registrymodifications.xcu. Is its file date the same as the last date you opened a file in LibreOffice?
Thanks, ErnestAl The latest registrymodifications.xcu file is from a few minutes ago. The series of files with the numbering ended in late December last year, but I only just noticed them now. So seems it would be safe to delete them. Thanks for the confirmation that this isn’t normal.
