There are a bunch of power point templates available on the interweb. Can I use them in Impress.
One in particular use to ship with powerpoint and is called blueprnt.pot. If I can’t import it, has anyone made a similar template?

Hi @illiteratefool,
It’s unclear to me if .POT or .POTX Power Point Template files are supported in LibreOffice. Here’s some related chatter from the mailing lists:
I didn’t see a clear message one way or the other there (although it sounds like there’s at least some support for these templates).
Here are some bugs:
Again, it still isn’t clear to me to what extent these template files are supported in LO. My best advice to you is “Try it and see!”
Regarding the particular blueprnt.pot
file, I suggest that you try to open it up using the latest release of LO. If the latest release doesn’t open blueprnt.pot or other PowerPoint template files, please file a bug and provide a list of steps that can reproduce your problem. The QA team will be happy to help you track down this issue!
Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.
Thanks!
@illiteratefool - Let me tell you about my experience.
I opened a ppt.file in LibO. Some graphics did not open very well. I saved as a template and repaired what needed to be done. I keep all my templates in opt-format. I have 2 templates with a different style set, which I update whenever I see need for.
You can try converting the POT from: File>Wizards>Converter
