I’ve finally figured out how to split one table into two in LibreOffice Writer. (The Wiki is lying: the command is not in the right-click menu.) But I have a table with 50-odd rows that I want to split into 50-odd separate tables (each one on its own page, but I think I have that part figured out). Is there a way to do this all at once, instead of sitting there clicking five times for every single row? It gets old really fast.
There is a way, but I will need to rediscover it (Calc implied, so possible lost of format).
By the way, a 2 click and 1 drag answer given an empty paragraph above the table (you will save 200 clicks):
- Select the first row (click in the left margin when a black right-pointing arrow appear);
- Drag the first row into the empty paragraph above;
- Click in the button
Delete selected rows
, and all again by 50.
Or assign a keyboard shortcut to Split Table…
