I’ve just downloaded version 7.2 then 2 documents I’d been working on came up for recovery but both recovery documents failed so decided not to recover. Bad mistake now I can’t open any of my files. Is there anything I can do?

Perhaps you didn’t pay attention to the message during installation “Some programs interfere with making changes to the configuration files, a restart may be required”?
Thanks have tried that but didn’t work. Interestingly I’ve tried opening on another laptop that hasn’t got the updated version and worked ok on that. So tried reinstalling, that seems to have worked🤞
