Can you install (and use) builtin help for a language other than for current UI language

The LibreOffice built in help for current UI language - NOT installed on your computer

My UI Language is (English (South African)) but I can not find a matching help pack.

British English would do nicely.

Is there a way to use the British one ie symlink

Debian 10.4
LibreOffice
Version: 6.1.5.2
Build ID: 1:6.1.5-3+deb10u6
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-ZA (en_ZA.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

Hello,

for me the following works on Debian 10 (Buster) and LibreOffice 6.1.5.2:

  • Install en-GB help using sudo apt install libreoffice-help-en-gb
  • Move to Help installation directory: cd /usr/share/libreoffice/help
  • Create symlink from en-GB to en-ZA: sudo ln -s en-GB en-ZA
  • Assure UI setting is: English (South Africa)

Tested using LibreOffice

Version: 6.1.5.2, Build ID: 1:6.1.5-3+deb10u6,CPU threads: 1; OS: Linux 4.19;
UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: en-ZA (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded

Hope that helps.

Worked perfectly, Thanks

Did you try?

Example:

Older Versions:

https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

This will not help OP who is using the version from distro package manager which lacks required package…

OK! Thanks.
