Can you use LibreOffice on a Lenovo M9 Tablet?

I know someone who is looking to purchase a decent table to replace their nook. They need to do banking, writing, and have enough power and storage for games. I would like to recommend the Lenovo M9 Tab 2023 based on what Ive seen, I just need to confirm if it will run Libre as opposed to any other Offfice suite out there. The tablet uses Android 12 as an OS, which we all know uses Linux as a core. The problem is, as is also well known, Android is proprietary. The full Libre suite of apps is not available in the incumbent store. What Im wondering is if the LO apk can be installed on this machine.

Thank you for your assistance

LibreOffice does not run on Android.

Thank you, Villeroy.

Much appreciated.

(Not any personal experience!)

Thank you  I have used collabora before. I appreciate the feedback

Window is also not free. (Actually more parts of Android are free, than for Windows.)
.
Android is simply not designed as a desktop OS. Apps can be thrown out anytime and are expected to retain thei state. Several of the more complex techniques like DDE, OLE, database connectors behave differently. And while a modern mobile has enough power to run a decent office-suite, this was not true, when Android was developed.

Together with the smaller screen and touch-usage it is a lot of work, as Collabora shows…

Thank you, Wanderer. I appreciate the feedback. I decided to go with a new laptop altogether and put Linux on it

If can afford a convertible laptop that runs WIndows, then you will have the best of both worlds.

Fixed that for you
