Cannot get Edit menu with right click

Sometimes in a Calc spreadsheet I want to get the Edit menu – I mean the menu that begins with Cut and ends with Format cells. On my laptop I do this by positioning on the cell and right-clicking (two finger tap on the pad). Every so often, however, when I right click I get instead the menu that begins Ignore all and ends with Posit or Suwanee. No matter what I do, I can’t get it to give me the menu I want. Does anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I’m using LO 7.5.5.2 (x86_64) with Windows 10

Sounds like you’re getting the spell-checking menu. That happens if a spelling error is marked in the cell and you right-click on the mis-spelled word. Either click on a correctly spelled word or in the blank region after the text, or turn Automatic Spell Checking off (under Tools, or Shift+F7).

BTW There is often a Context menu key that you could press instead. It is down near the space bar and has a number of parallel lines on it.

Shift+F10 may also work, not sure if also on Windows.
